Doflamingo x Reader – Tea Time

 

“Ah there you are ____. Follow me; I’d like to have a word with you.”

 

Gulping, you had no choice but to heed his order.

 

What would he want to talk to me about? Don’t tell me he was going to fire me already…

 

These thoughts were running in your head as you made your way into his room.

 

Quite nerve-wrecking to say the least.

There he was sitting on the couch, with his legs crossed and giving you that signature grin of his.

 

“Fufufu… Well don’t be so distant, have a seat.”

 

You were hesitant but obeyed. You sat down stiffly across from him, placing your hands on your lap. He was quiet for a moment, clearly observing you behind those red tinted sunglasses of his.

 

You began to feel tense under his intense staring and started to squirm in your seat. Sensing your discomfort, he began talking.

 

“You’re not really much of a talker are you? I was waiting for you to say something fufufu… But you didn’t and so I ended up enjoying the sight of how uncomfortable you were. Hmm could it be that you are scared of me?”

 

You were taken aback by his question and hastily tried to respond to him but ended up with a strangled voice.

 

*Cough cough—*

 

“Have some tea; your poor throat must be dry.” Instead of laughing at your face, he was being strangely caring towards you.

 

You gave him a meek nod.

 

After sipping the tea - poured by the great Doflamingo – You felt much better.

 

“Thank you for the tea! I apologize for making you wait for my response.”

 

“Fufufu… Not to worry my dear. I can be a very patient man if I wanted to. So back to my question, are you scared of me?”

 

You pursed your lips, contemplating his question. “Frankly speaking sir, I’m somewhat am… Umm I mean you have this whole vibe where it seems very hard to approach you and all.”

 

What you said shouldn’t be that surprising. Pretty sure you weren’t the only one who felt that way.  

 

He was leaning forward, placing his palm under his chin while paying close attention to every word you said.

 

“Is that why you kept avoiding me?”

 

You gulped. You couldn’t believe he noticed… Was he mad at you?

 

“Oh and before you’re wondering, I’m not mad. I just simply wanted to know why.” He added.

 

Mentally sighing, you made up your mind to be forward with him.

 

“I’m really sorry sir. It’s just that I’m bad at socializing… I’ve never been good at dealing with people - especially with someone like you. You have that scary intimidating vibe around you. And also I thought it’d be best to stay out of your way since I’m just a newbie.”

 

“Fufufu is that so. My dear ___, how will you fix that problem of yours? Surely not by running away from it.”

 

You felt like an arrow shot through your chest. He has a point…

 

“And look, you’re chatting with me while having tea - just the two of us. No problems here right?”

 

That was true… You were awkward at first but you’re actually doing pretty well at the moment. How strange it was…

 

“See, you realized it. You just need to take that step forward, take the initiative.” He leaned back with a smug grin.

 

When the heck did he became a counselor? You couldn’t help but stare at him in awe. 

 

This man and his many talents.

 

“Do you like my face that much?” He joked, snapping you back to reality.

 

Well he wasn’t wrong but of course you won’t tell him that.

 

You let out a laugh to hide your embarrassment which in turn made Doflamingo chuckle too. 

 

Both of you spent another few minutes just chatting with each other, and him making you feel embarrassed more so than often.

 

“Sorry sir but I think it’s time for me to get back to work.” You stood up and bowed to him.

 

“Ahh I see, I was too busy enjoying our chat to even notice the time. How unfortunate that we must part.”

 

“Umm well, I was also enjoying it but maybe if there’s a next time, we could umm…” You didn’t know how to finish that sentence but somehow, Doflamingo knew what to say.

 

“Fufufu, such a silly girl. I’ll make sure to have our talk again soon. And no more avoiding or running away from me, you hear?”

 

You quickly replied. “Y-yes, I won’t anymore!”

 

“Good. If you do, you’ll receive some form of punishment.” He looked deadly serious all of a sudden.

 

Gulping, you asked. “May I ask what?”

 

“Hmm… It involves getting quite physical.”

 

“So you mean just more labour?”

 

“Fufufu something entirely different my dear…”

 

It took you a moment to register what he said. You could feel your face heating up and your heart rate increasing rapidly but that didn’t stop Doflamingo from continuing.

 

“On second thought, I wouldn’t mind that. Maybe you should defy me. Care for a sneak preview?”

 

“W-what… No, no sir!” You shook your head. He then gave a big laugh.

 

“You better go, I’ve already hold you up enough.” He teased.

 

You composed yourself and nodded, still feeling out of it. You were about to excuse yourself out of the room when he added something.

 

“Oh and ____, if you play your cards right, I might let you call me Doffy.”
